The test series Taking into account the latest versions of DIN EN 12640, 12641 (Part 1+2) and 12642, the load on the front, side and rear walls at maximum achievable deceleration, acceleration and centrifugal force was put through its paces. A semi-trailer loaded with Oktatainers® was used. The load was arranged lengthways. Starting at the front wall of the loading area, two Oktatainers® were positioned next to each other without any gaps. The special containers were filled with 1000-1100 kg of foamable polymer beads, which tend to surge strongly during transport.During the tests at the Fraunhofer Institute, the testers increased the braking decelerations in four phases from a=0.5g to a=1.0g. Each subsequent check of the load (Oktatainer®) for deformation or damage showed that the developed securing system held the Oktatainer® securely on the pallet. In addition, lid deformation was also prevented.Overall judgement of the Fraunhofer IML:‘The entire securing system proved to be extremely effective in preventing the Oktatainer® from tipping over and/or slipping on the loading area.’ The securing system is also suitable for all soft packaging that has a surge effect, such as big bags. The system can also be used for palletised bagged goods in shrink-wrap, drinks crates and other goods that cannot be lashed down. Various lengths and sizes of the belt system can be customised to suit the load. Running time approx. 17 min. Demo Filmausschnitt

Training film with the basics of loading and load securing on lorries - DVD Inadequate load securing’ is responsible for the majority of accidents in the goods transport sector. Our training film teaches the basics of load securing: - Problems when transporting goods and merchandise - Physical principles of load securing - Definition of the forces acting on the load during transport- weight force, centrifugal force, friction and frictional force, securing force and much more. - Load securing equipment - Loading and securing work - securing different loads with load securing equipment and -systems - Correct loading and load distribution - Securing with tie-down lashing and diagonal lashing - Braking tests and cornering with unsecured and secured loads - Tear tests with load securing straps - Poor load securing and its consequences - Police checks in freight transport Running time approx. 33 min.Demo film clip

This DVD uses various driving manoeuvres to show the extent to which physical forces act on the load in vans and how the load can be effectively secured. In addition, the easy and simple load securing with a lashing net in a courier vehicle is clearly demonstrated and the versatility of lashing nets is explained. Running time approx. 15 min. The film for forklift truck driver training To support forklift truck driver training, we have worked with experts and practitioners to create a video film that shows all the points that are needed to visually support industrial truck training. The video is closely orientated to the material to be taught and is a great support for industrial truck training. The correct handling of the equipment and its correct use are emphasised. This improves the level of training and increases the level of knowledge. Content of the film: Theoretical and practical basics of training: - The technology of the forklift truck with presentation of different types of forklift trucks. - Stability and load capacity - Operational safety test for electric and combustion engine forklifts - Stacking loads, detailed stacking procedures e.g. high racks etc. - Loading and unloading lorries - Operation and traffic - how must a forklift driver behave in operation? - Practical exercises for the test Usability of the training film - as preparation for the training - as a supporting medium during the training - to refresh knowledge after a training course or as part of company instruction Running time 45 min.
